We've come from humble beginnings to become an experienced and multi-skilled construction and specialist building solutions company.

Robert MacFarlane was part of the partnership of R&R MacFarlane, which began trading from 1995. Beginning as one van, two men, expanding to 3 vans and six men, and evolving into Robert MacFarlane Contractors Ltd in 2009 after significant growth. Tiger Coatings is the next step in this business evolution.

Over an initial 2 year period we undertook a contract to provide specialist paint to railings all over Glasgow. A partnership that saw us team up with Land Engineering for Glasgow Housing Association. This included supplying the new Glasgow Transport Museum, Govan Waterfront, and the regeneration of Rutherglen Train Station. The contract that has been extended for another 4 year period, which also includes providing painting, roughcasting and brickworks.

We have also undertaken contracts to provide brickwork and blockwork at the Chris Hoy Velodrome, specialist coatings to bollards at the Holyrood Houses of Parliament and specialist coatings to railings at the Quartermile Development in Edinburgh for Sir Robert McAlpine.

Tiger Coatings are specialists in roughcasting, rendering, epoxy & resin coatings and concreting, but over 20 years experience means we take our knowledge and understanding of the building and construction industry with us into the future.
